This week was national anti-bullying week and, across Focus Schools, we have tried to raise awareness of how bullying can be prevented. Taking care of others in our community is a key aspect of the school’s values.
In the canteen, an anti-bullying tree has sprouted. On its leaves, the pupils have written advice.
A ‘Sorry Box’ has been placed in the foyer so pupils who are reflecting on their actions can apologise.
In the Primary School, the wooden bench has been redecorated and repurposed as a ‘Buddy Bench’.
Anti-bullying week is associated with the colour blue (probably because being picked on make the victim feel ‘blue’) so to raise awareness of this week, areas around the school were wrapped in blue ribbon.
