Craig Tracey MP visited our school on 16th November as part of Parliament Week. He met with the whole primary school, all of Y9 in relation to their Citizenship class and the School Council.
The pupils had lots of questions to ask him about his role as an MP, Brexit and HS2.
Year 6 were particularly impressive. Having researched his website and found out about the work he is doing locally, they asked him how he would improve the A5. This is a topic which staff, students and bus drivers all feel strongly about. It is good to know that the local MP is keen to remedy it!
Although politics is often seen as a dry subject, meeting the MP in person really brought it to life for the pupils and we are very grateful to him for giving up the time in his busy schedule.
